Playing Games in School

I believe games can be a valuable asset to a classroom.  Students do not respond as well to regular old paperwork like they once did.  If there is a resource(software games) that we can utilize to capture students attention and make learning more engaging, then why wouldn't we?  Sometimes games can just be fun:  they can be used as rewards for completing the not so fun work, in place of worksheets, and to teach students how to successfully learn cooperatively

  1. I completely agree. My students are very engaged when using gaming technology. It is so much more interactive than a worksheet and also easy to track student progress.

  2. I agree with using games as rewards at times. I think it can be a good motivational tool for the students if it isn't overused.
